Sr. Pastor James and Emi Vazquez
In November of 1996, God called me to move my family from Hawaii to Las Vegas. Here I found Calvary Community Church where I faithfully served for 10 years. While serving there, God instilled in me a love for all people and a passion to teach the truth of His Word. In 2010, He guided me to what would become my new home the foursquare denominational "New Hope Las Vegas Church". I was ordained as an associate pastor in 2013 and received my ministerial license in July of 2015. In 2018, my journey will take a new course as I unveil New Hope North Community Church.
My beautiful wife, Noemi, is a special education "early childhood" teacher. Together we have a wonderfully blended family with seven children and eleven grandchildren (still growing). Trusting in God and having a commitment to Him has blessed my family and continues to be our main priority.
Associate Pastor Jonathan & Jennifer Lord
Jonathan has been a licensed Foursquare pastor since January 2015. He and Jennifer have been part of New Hope North since May 2019. Jonathan oversees the counseling ministry and is on the preaching team.
Jonathan has been a Church Counselor since 2006. He has helped launch and lead several church counseling ministries and has helped train many people to become church counselors over the years. He most enjoys watching God heal emotional scars and grow people out of destructive
hurts, habits, and hang-ups. He has seen the Holy Spirit heal marriages and free people from the bonds of many types of addictions. He says, "it's a good thing the Holy Spirit is so faithful and always shows up during counseling sessions, because without Him the counseling wouldn't do any good."
Jonathan and Jennifer have been married since 2008. They have three children between them: Abigail, Benjamin, and Nicholas.
Assistant Pastor Terry & Mary Welham
Pastor Terry and Mary are originally from California, having served the Lord faithfully for over 35 years. Since receiving his Ministerial License, Pastor Terry has continued to seek the Lords leading within ministry, and works at building-up the church, preaching, and teaching God's word. Pastor Terry and Mary served at New Hope Las Vegas, The Highlands Foursquare Church in California, and were Sr. and Founding Pastors of the Gardens Foursquare Church also in California! Pastor Terry and Mary felt called to serve at New Hope North Community Church, coming alongside Sr. Pastor James and Emi Vazquez, helping to raise up the next generation of followers of Christ, equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry in the context of a loving fellowship of believers Pastor Terry continues to say, "Yes Lord, send me!' To faithfully obey God's direction and leading. His heart is to see the Kingdom of God grow. He's passionate about studying Bible prophecy and one of his great joys is to fellowship with other believers and family while sharing a meal together. He's placed in the body of Christ, to be a "Father" in the faith. And hopes to be found faithfully serving Jesus at His coming."
Pastor Terry and Mary are the proud parents of 7 awesome children and 16 extraordinary grandchildren!
